Parks Canada’s Banff website. Lots of links to all sorts of iinformation. From driving in the mountains to safety around wildlife. Just ‘cause animals are in the park, does NOT mean they aren’t dangerous. You’d be surprised how many wingnuts try to pet an elk.

Staying in Banff before or after the convention? This company is well run and has a wide variety of tours and excursions to choose from, should you wish to get out and see more of what this great area has to offer.

Caving in Canmore! Looking for something wild to do? I can’t recommend this one enough. I did this last summer (that’s me in the photo) and enjoyed myself so much, I’ll be going again this summer. No railings, pathways or wired-in lights. This is an adventure tour! Squeezing through crevices and crawling around in the middle of a mountain. Not for everybody, but it’s an incredible experience.
